Nature & Climate
The climate crisis is no longer a distant issue—we feel it every day in heatwaves, floods, droughts, and shifting seasons. At Dedoles, we believe that change starts locally, practically, and always with respect for life.
We Plant Trees
Trees are our strongest allies in the fight against climate change. They cool the air, store carbon, and give life a place to thrive. A single mature tree can absorb up to 22 kg of CO2 per year. That’s why we support reforestation efforts where nature needs it most, working alongside experts and volunteers. Every tree planted is a small act of hope. Nearly 80 000 trees were planted in variou locations and always with the help of protection experts in the area (and we also rolled up our sleeves and helped ourselves).
We Protect Endangered Species
Wildlife is disappearing. Animals that once filled our forests, meadows, and wetlands are struggling to survive. That’s why we teamed up with protection association BROZ in 2020 to create a special sock collection featuring endangered species like the black stork, kingfisher, golden bee-eater, and more. These weren't just fun designs—they’re reminders of what we stand to lose. And we donated 30,000€ to BROZ that year and 20,000€ more the next year thanks to Dedoles change.
Thanks to your support, we help restore the habitats these species depend on, from floodplain forests to wetland meadows. Protecting biodiversity means protecting life itself.
Climate Connects Us
Extreme weather is now a part of our daily reality. Through the project "Klíma nás spája" ("Climate Connects Us"), led by environmental educators at Živica, we support practical climate adaptation in towns, schools, and communities—things like rain gardens, green roofs, and wetland restoration. Because we all deserve to live in places that are better prepared for the future.
Tiny Forests, Big Lessons
We also support environmental education through "School Pocket Forest," a project by TEREZA that helps kids grow mini forests in schoolyards. Children plant, observe, and learn in these 100-200 m² forest plots, which become shared spaces for curiosity, play, and connection with nature.
We contributed €30,000 to this initiative, because we believe that if we want a greener planet tomorrow, we need to start planting the right values today.
